Puglia is still a relatively unknown region in the south of Italy that is absolutely worth a visit. The most famous town is Alberobello with its trulli houses. But the beaches and coastal towns are also more than worth a visit.
We spent 4 nights here in June and therefore chose two different accommodations. One in Alberobello/ a neighbouring town of Alberobello, to explore the Trullis and Matera & the other one on the coast in Polignano a Mare. I have created a separate blogpost for more detailed tips on the region, which you can read here. In this post, I would only like to talk about the accommodations – both of them I would absolutely recommend!
Apulien ist eine noch recht unbekannte Region im Süden Italiens die absolut sehenswert ist. Am bekanntesten ist der Ort Alberobello mit seinen Trulli-Häusern. Aber auch die Strände und Küstenstädte sind absolut sehenswert.
Wir haben im Juni 4 Nächte in der Region verbracht und uns daher für zwei verschiedene Unterkünfte entschieden. Einmal in Alberobello bzw. einem Nebenort davon, um die Trullis und Matera zu erkunden & einmal an der Küste in Polignano a Mare. Für nähere Tipps zur Region habe ich einen eigenen Beitrag erstellt, diesen könnt ihr hier lesen. In diesem Beitrag möchte ich nur auf die Unterkünfte eingehen, die ich euch beide absolut empfehlen kann.
Rifugio Trulli & Dimore in Alberobello
In Alberobello we stayed in a small but beautiful bed & breakfast. The accommodation has only a few rooms & therefore invites you to relax & unwind. There is a large garden with sun loungers & a pool with a view of the Trullis. There is also a car park on the property if you come by car.
Breakfast is served either on your own terrace in front of your room or in the communal area in the garden. You tick what you would like to have for breakfast the day before.

Wir haben hier in einem kleinen, aber wunderschönen Bed & Breakfast übernachtet. Die Unterkunft hat nur wenige Zimmer & lädt daher zum Entspannen & Relaxen ein. Es gibt einen großen Garten mit Liegemöglichkeiten & einen Pool mit Blick auf die Trullis. Es gibt auch einen Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück, falls ihr mit dem Auto kommt.
Das Frühstück bekommt man entweder auf seiner eigenen Terrasse vor dem Zimmer serviert, oder im Gemeinschaftsbereich im Garten. Man kreuzt dafür am Vortag an, was man gerne haben möchte.

B&B Carrubeto in Polignano a Mare
In Polignano, we again chose a small B&B and discovered a real gem. The town of Polignano can be very crowded and the accommodation is only a few minutes‘ drive from the centre in a very quiet area. There are also only two rooms, which is very pleasant.
In Polignano haben wir uns auch wieder für ein kleines B&B entschieden & damit ein richtiges Juwel entdeckt. Die Stadt Polignano kann schon mal sehr überlaufen sein und die Unterkunft ist ein paar Autominuten außerhalb vom Zentrum in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend. Außerdem gibt es nur zwei Zimmer, was auch sehr angenehm ist.
The property is huge & invites you to relax. There is even a rooftop terrace where you can see the sea & sunset. The host Laura is super nice & helpful. She serves breakfast every morning with typical local dishes directly from her neighbours. You just feel very comfortable here 🙂

Das Grundstück ist riesengroß & lädt zum Entspannen ein. Es gibt sogar eine Dachterrasse von der aus man das Meer & den Sonnenuntergang sieht. Die Gastgeberin Laura ist super nett & hilfsbereit. Frühstück serviert sie jeden Morgen mit typischen lokalen Speisen direkt von ihren Nachbarn. Hier fühlt man sich einfach sehr wohl 🙂

I can highly recommend this region in Italy to you – it’s simply beautiful, not as crowded as some other parts of Italy, typically Italian & very, very cheap!
Ich kann euch diese Region wirklich nur ans Herz legen – es ist einfach wunderschön, noch nicht so überlaufen wie sonst teilweise in Italien, typisch italienisch & sehr sehr preiswert!
